Cloud Computing & Curricular Content

Cloud Computing represents the new paradigm of technology access and application that is revolutionizing the way in which we harness the power of the internet, utilize web based tools and find solutions in an environment that is distributive, powerful and open to all. The traditional units of study are going to be accessible through the cloud, utilizing the distributed computing power of the web to deliver the most effective content efficiently and allowing for the student to interact with the material and be held accountable in a way that is transparent, open and reinforcing.
World History in the Cloud

All of the
curricular units that we will study this year will be in digital form
and accessible on the world wide web via multiple entryways. You will
use Moodle as a classroom interface, but you will also use this website,
as well as Schoology, eBackpack and the district eboards. There will be
no single repository for your work. Rather, we will take advantage of
the distributed computing power of the internet to create the most
powerful learning environment ever conceived by man. This year in
World History, your readings, worksheets and projects will come
primarily from the Classroom Cloud. You will be able to read documents
with links to video clips, animations or other graphics that help
explain the reading. You will have online questions, both subjective and
objective, that you will answer and return to the teacher online through
the Cloud. You will have tests and quizzes that you will complete in the
Cloud. This opens up a new world of 24/7 interactivity that will make
school and learning something that is a major part of your on-the-go
life.
