Resources in the Cloud

The different resources you will use this year will come from the Cloud. Research, writing, polling, assessing, debating, discussing, all these functions will be accomplished over the internet in an exciting, interactive way that allows the student to explore and express in a powerful way. Accessing sites like Schoology, eBackpack, Surveymonkey, Googledocs et al gives the student a digital way to relate to the content material and express opinions and ideas. This opens up a new world of 24/7 interactivity that will make school and learning something that is a major part of your on-the-go life. Digital technology is a major part of our lives today and the ability to utilize this technology is part of the new literacy that all students need to master in order to be successful. Not only will you be using computers extensively, but you will use your smart phones, touch pads, netbooks and other devices in order to access the internet, complete assignments and master the curricular content required.
